The Rules
Disclosure rules are the least glamorous — and most important — part of getting paid to post. In this guide I translate the FTC's influencer marketing guidelines into plain language, with examples of disclosures that pass and the sneaky ones that don't.
We cover gifted products, affiliate links, review manipulation, employee advocacy and what "clear and conspicuous" actually means on a six-second short versus a twenty-minute review.
You'll leave with plain-language notes you can apply to every upload, plus the contract clause I ask every brand to sign so responsibility is shared, not dumped on the creator. Not legal advice — but the next best thing: ten years of doing this daily.
